Membership

The BDA is a public interest organisation with a broad agenda and a wide range of concerns, as distinct from an industry association or lobby group. Its sole motivation is 'creating a better Brisbane'.

BDA members are able to attend and participate in workshops, seminars and debates on topics which help shape ideas and influence planning by Brisbane City Council, State and Federal Governments and statutory bodies.

Membership is drawn from State and local Governments, statutory authorities, academia, business, and the professional and private sectors of the community. Anyone who is interested in 'creating a better Brisbane' can join the BDA.

Membership provides many benefits including:

• Opportunity to influence policy and planning affecting the development and livability of Brisbane
• Contact with key decision makers including local, State and Federal government members and representatives and industry leaders
• Opportunity to hear about and attend insightful seminar luncheons and breakfasts, workshops and conferences
• Networking opportunities with a diverse range of business and social contacts at BDA events
• Opportunity to communicate with the BDA Executive and discuss key issues which may be appropriate to raise in the Association's regular public forums
• Reduced rates for attendance at BDA seminars and events.
